Following the latest government and Chartered Society of Physiotherapists guidelines Vfit physio is in a position to start offering face to face appointments once more. These would be to clients that are not part of the vulnerable group, have not displayed symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days and have not been in contact with anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Also, it needs to be demonstrated that you cannot be managed remotely.
Unfortunately many changes have had to be made to ensure your safety, the safety of our staff and that of the wider community.
Following advice from our professional body the following procedures have been implemented.
Prior to being offered a face to face appointment you must have undergone a telephone triage session to ascertain your problem and determine whether or not it can be managed remotely. If it is deemed clinically necessary to be seen face to face you will be offered an appointment. If you can be managed remotely, or prefer to be, then an online virtual appointment will be made.
All patients attending a face to face appointment must complete an online COVID-19 questionnaire prior to their appointment to show they understand and agree all aspects. The link to this will be sent in your appointment confirmation email.
Patients or staff will not be allowed to attend if:
- They have a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19
- They have experienced COVID-19 symptoms in the last 7 days.
- They live with or in the last 14 days they have been in contact with a person who has been confirmed or suspected to have COVID-19.
- They are in the vulnerable category.
- Have travelled outside of the UK in the last 2 weeks.
On arrival you are requested to remain in your car until called in either by phone or physically retrieved by the attending therapist to maximise social distancing rules. We will insist you are unaccompanied unless you are a minor or require assistance.
You will have your temperature taken with a forehead thermometer. If your temperature is above 37.8℃ you will be asked to leave the clinic and contact 111 for further advice.
Hand sanitiser will be available to you which you must use on arrival and exit.
Your therapist will be wearing a fresh set of disposable gloves, apron and face mask, as well as a face visor.
After your session your diagnosis, advice and exercise programme will be emailed to you rather than printed in the clinic.

All appointments will be spaced by 15 minutes to allow for 1 patient to leave before the next one arrives and for thorough cleaning of the surfaces, door handles and equipment used in the clinic room.
Unfortunately we have to close the toilets at this time. Please ensure you go to the toilet at home prior to coming to the clinic. If you really need to use the toilet whilst at the clinic please discuss with the therapist first.
